Overnight trip to Agra

On Friday, December 11th 2009 there was much excitement in the air. Children of classes IV, V, VI and VII reached bright and early at the Nirmal Bhartia gates with their bags waiting to board the bus for their two day overnight trip to Agra.

Below is an account of their trip through their eyes with regular updates as the day unfolds

The deluxe bus left sharp at 6:45 am.

8:30 am - Reached Badarpur border and were soonsnacking on chips, cookies and cakes, while playing Antakshari. The teachers won hands down with a score of 5-0.

11:00 am - After a yummy breakfast of sandwiches, muffins, fruit and juice on the lawns of Dabchik the bus headed towards Sikandra Tomb

1:00 pm - At the Sikandra Tomb, the resting place of King Akbar admiring the majestic minarets and happy to see different species of deer roam free.

2:45 pm - Arrival at the hotel Utkarsh Vilas

3:30 pm - Settled into their rooms after a scrumptious lunch, ready to visit the Agra fort.

5:30 pm - After a lovely journey to yester years at the Agra Fort, ready to do some souvenir shopping

7:30 pm - A little rest and once again all charged up for the painting competition and role plays

8:30 pm - Dinner time. Gosh are we famished!

9:30 pm - Lights out and snoring away

12th December - A new day dawns

7:00 am - Wake up Sid!

8:00 am - Like hungry catterpillars we enjoyed the breakfast

9:00 am - Off to see the TAJ in all its glory

11:30 am - It's quiz time folks

12:30 pm - An early lunch and then time to leave

6:30 - 7:00 pm - Approximate time of arrival
