CHINH Musical Workshop
Organised by Chinh India, on 16th April`09, our school
hosted a musical workshop conducted by Italian musician,
Mr. Andrea Camerini. Mr. Camerini, an Art Director
with Chinh, is a musician, lyrics writer, singer and
a propogator of peace through music. He encourages
students to use music as a means to reflect upon themselves
and on inner peace thereby reducing stress and anxiety
Students of classes VI & VII had the opportunity
to experience, enjoy and learn from his workshop.
They enjoyed moments of solitude and silence together,
sang an African song and also learnt about different
types of expressions through sound. Later, they wrote
a few lines about themselves, put it to a tune and
composed their own songs. It was heartening to see
them perform and sing along with Mr. Andrea Camerini.
A soulful and enlightening experience indeed!
