Visit by the children of Deepalaya

On September 8th NBS invited 37 children of Deepalaya with their teachers for an interactive fun filled day. The objective was to share, care and support each other in all possible ways.

The children of Deepalaya were really delighted when they walked in and got a welcome drink of lemonade. The day started with our children teaming up with the children of Deepalaya and choosing their friends for the day. Children of classes I and II presented rhymes and children of classes III sang a 'yaaron dosti badi hi haseen hai' for their new friends.

Their enthusiasm for performing for the NBS children showed through in song and dance. All the choreography and lyrics were their own which had all of us spell bound. This was followed by games organized by Bhupinder sir which had every one on their toes laughing, screaming, winners all - each child was completely involved.

The children later moved on to the computer lab. Here they were deeply involved in playing games and later creating a design on the Paint.

They later went to the art room for some more fun. Here they had a chance to create their own masterpieces with a jute pouch, some pieces of cloth, buttons and lace. The little creators created designs that were simple yet very interesting.

At 1:00 pm it was time to bid adieu. The children of Deepalaya expressed their thanks. They were all given packed refreshments and pouches. Each child got a small origami flower made by our children. With a promise to meet again we said our goodbyes and could see in their faces that it had been a wonderful day.
