Earth Day
NOW or NEVER
Celebrating the 'Earth Day' has far more significance
than any other 'special day' celebrated on the planet.
This was a reason to create a community of students
with a mission that works towards a clean and green
environment. Modern Convent and JM International along
with the Green School brigade of Nirmal Bhartia participated
enthusiastically. They shared their ideas on conservation
by displaying their talent in singing, art and craft,
drama etc.
The presentation by noted environmentalist, Mr. Rajan
Gandhi on Alternative Sources of Energy was a complete
success. Owing to the students' interest in the devices
run by solar and wind energy there was a lot of discussion
about these devices and how they work. 'Nirmal Vasudha'
inspires students and teachers to take responsibility
and to take care for 'Mother Nature' that has given
us so much in abundance.
The purpose of celebrating this day was to emphasize the need and to create awareness in the young minds to be the 'change agents' and give up unmindful ways of living.
The junior students enacted skits which sent a message of the harmful effects of certain human activities and finding solutions.
The senior students composed songs based on how we can help establish a peaceful existence of all organisms on'Mother Earth'.
Several 'Art Activities' were done by all the students as a part of their resolution to 'GO GREEN'.
We believe that education is incomplete without application and so we hope that our endeavour will be successful in showing students the right direction and in helping them become sensitive human beings.
We also believe that each one CAN make a difference and each one SHOULD create and conserve a 'GREEN EARTH'!
