Annular Solar Eclipse
The solar eclipse on Friday, January 15, 2010, was the longest annular solar eclipse of the millennium. An annular solar eclipse takes place when the Moon's apparent diameter is smaller than the Sun, causing the sun to look like a ring. The next longest annular solar eclipse will occur on December 23, 3043.
A power point presentation of the Solar Eclipse was shown to the children with the help of models.
As a part of their science activity children of class VI had made a pin hole camera which proved to be a boon to the entire school as everybody was able to see the real eclipse occurring in the sky with the help of the pin hole camera.
