Katha-o-Theatre
On Saturday, December 1st 2009 children of classes IV,V,VI and VII went to see a musical play based on Panchatantra tales rendered in the 'Kathavachan' style.
The story 'Raja ki khoj' captivated the audience and in certain sections they too joined in and became a part of the play. It was remarkable how the actors blended an ancient tale with the contemporary process of electing the right king. It was a significant and a very pleasant experience for all of us.
Some comments made by the children after the play are :
"I liked the rabbit as she was very intelligent and witty" Sanchali - Class IV
"I liked it because it was a musical play" …………..Class IV
"They were speaking in verse. At the end of the play they sang a song and told us to sing with them" Anisha - Class V
"We all laughed so much" Diksha - Class VI
"There were no stage decorations or costumes, and still I enjoyed the play" Aswathy - Class VII
"The best part was when the buffalo sang MOOO musically" Megha - Class VII
"I would like to see more plays by Anant" Divya - Class V
