Annual Sports Day
Tuesday, December 22nd a bright and sunny morning was a day eagerly awaited by the children of Nirmal Bhartia School. The school celebrated its 4th Annual Sports Day on this day on Kusum Sarovar school grounds. The Guest of Honour was Mr. Susheel Kumar, Olympic Bronze Medalist and an International wrestler.
Commonwealth Games was the theme for the day. A festive spirit was created with a well decorated playground and every little detail was seen to. A Guard of Honour was presented by the marching contingent of classes III to VII led by the captains of Basketball (boys), Basketball (girls) and Football (boys).
Mr. Susheel Kumar addressed the gathering present. He stressed on the vital role played by the parents and teachers in bringing out the hidden talents of a child and stressed on healthy eating food habits. After the oath was taken by the entire school, Mr. Susheel Kumar declared the 4th Sports Meet Open.
The athletic events like the hoop race, catching fish, the big bang, entertained and made the parents proud. The celebration continued with the balancing bar, formation of pyramids, drill and various races.
Games were held for parents, school helpers and the staff. The day drew to a close after the prize distribution with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem. The children went home displaying their medals and certificates proudly, looking forward to the next Annual Sports Day.
