Achievements and Awards
- It was a day of 'Double Dhamaal' for the NBS Community
as Ms. Pooja Jhaver, our Chairperson, and Ms. Charu
Wahi, our Principal, were felicitated for their work and
contributions in the field of education.
Ms. Pooja Jhaver was honoured with the 'Educational Leadership
Award' at a Seminar on Redefining School Leadership
by the Indian Institute of Management and the Institute
for Career Studies, Lucknow on 23rd November, 2011. She
presented a paper on 'From Universal Access to Universal
Success' and shared how our school has always valued and
celebrated diversity among the members of our community
and welcomed, with open doors, all parents, children, and
families who have expressed faith in our vision and philosophy
as a community school.
Then on 3rd December, 2011 it was time to celebrate once
again as Ms. Charu Wahi, our esteemed Principal,
was felicitated with the 'Best Principal Award' at
the 'Torch Bearers of Dwarka' Awards Ceremony for her visionary
leadership under who NBS imbibed various characteristics
of progressive education thereby establishing it as an institution
gaining immense repute for its commitment to each individual
child and the larger community as a whole.
Kudos to the Torch Bearers of NBS! who inspire and lead
by example.
- The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national
level scholarship program in India to identify and nurture
talented students. Organized by an official body (NCERT),
it is widely regarded as the toughest and most prestigious
examination at high school level in the country. Siddharth
Singh of Class IX received the honour of being selected
as one of the scholars. His rank was 152.
- Ananya Chatterjee (Class III), Vaibhav Jassal (Class II)
and Gunjan Kakkar (Class VI) secured 90% in the Popular
Piano Debut, while Pranshu Chakrawarty (Class VII) secured
91% in the Guitar Debut Examination held by The Trinity
College of London.
Inter-School Awards
- In the Inter-School Team Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship
held at the Vasant Valley School on 19th December 2011,
Nirmal Bhartia secured the third position.
- In the Inter-School Individual Artistic Gymnastics Tournament
2011, held at the Vasant Valley School, Gauri Jangra
of Class II, secured the Bronze medal on the
Balancing Beam.
- In an Inter-School Cultural Competition, 'Nurture the
Narrative' held at the J M International School, Akshul
Khasa of Class VII and Sachin Sakeya of Class
VIII , secured the third position for an animated movie
on 'Save our environment'.
- Nirmal Bhartia Girls secured the third position in the
Zonal Table Tennis Sub-Junior category held on 22nd August
2011.
Inter-House Awards
- In the Inter-House Western Music Competition the Peepal
House secured the first position in the Group Event while
the Banyan House secured the second place. The solo performances
saw the Banyan House in the first place with Neem House
coming a close second.
- Nirmal Bhartia Girls secured the third position in the
Zonal Table Tennis Sub-Junior category held on 22nd August
2011.
- In the Inter-House Poster making Competition held on 27th
July, 2011 Peepal House was declared the winner with Ashoka
House coming a close second.
- In the Inter-House Table Tennis Competition held from
18th to 22nd July, 2011 Ashoka House took a lead of 12 points
and emerged winners with Banyan House securing the second
position.
- In the Inter-House Soccer Competition held on 28th and
29th April, 2011 Banyan House took a lead of 9 points and
emerged winners with Ashoka House securing the second position.
- In the Inter-House Jam Session held on 2nd May, 2011 Ashoka
House secured the first position with Neem House as the
first runner up and Peepal House as the second runner up.
