After School Programme

Club

The after school programme commenced on 3rd August 2009 with much fanfare. The workshop will last two months and classes will be held twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:45 pm to 4:45 pm, with two sessions lasting an hour each. The school tied up with the canteen vendor to provide a hot and nutritionally balanced meal to the students at lunch time before the commencement of the above programmes.

The children were very excited. After a hearty lunch, a great session took place under expert supervision in the field of Chess and Roller skating.

In the chess class the children were divided into two groups and were encouraged to play against each other, the novices were taken through the rules and moves of chess.

This was followed by roller skating. After an initial warm-up the children were pitted against each other and raced with one another.

The children were encouraged to exercise and stretch their minds and bodies at the same time and challenge their own limits.

Working towards the goal of seeing our students excel in every sphere an 'After-School English Language & Communication Skills Programme' & 'Subject - Specific Reinforcement Classes' for classes V-VII started from 4th November 2009.

The English Language & Communication Skills Programme guides children in learning how to interact with others when speaking, writing or communicating.

Specific reinforcement classes enables children to develop a better understanding of the content taught over the last few months. Each week two subjects ( Hindi/ Sanskrit / Math / Science / Social Studies ) are taken up.
