A colourful sky The “India Week” celebrations in school saw our children participating with zest as they learned and compiled their first ever power-point presentation on Our National Symbols. Each one of them presented his/her presentation to their classmates with a sense of accomplishment and pride. This was followed by a discussion on the importance of freedom – in speech, in thought, in spirit and for a country. As an extension of this theme the children then moved outdoor to experience the free flight of a kite in the skies. As the children let the twines unroll off the spindle they watched with fascination as the kites rose and soared and moved any which way that they chose. Squeals of joy filled the air as they witnessed a sea of of colourful paper frames of myriad shapes, sizes and colours filled the sky.
