Spaces at NBS
Located on a two acre campus in the midst of Sector-14 in Dwarka, the school is a secure, open and lively home to all our students, parents, educators and friends who have become a part of our learning community.
Spaces for gathering together
To enable us to share, and discuss together the findings of our explorations, the campus offers several gathering spaces. While the vast open space of the green can accommodate the entire community, parents and educators are encouraged to meet in smaller groups in the Family and Educator Resource Centers. Classroom furniture too has been carefully designed keeping in mind the need for children to interact in a variety of ways - individually with themselves, as a large group, in small groups, or as pairs.
Spaces for sharing
Since learning in our school never stops, but continues all day, every day, we are planning to keep the facility open to our members, even beyond school hours and on weekends. We invite the community to come and read at leisure in our library, to use our audio-visual facilities and to practice their sport on our courts.
Spaces for exploration and discovery
Designed in accordance with our principles of learning, each aspect of our four-storey building and the green campus that surrounds it, encourages our children to explore and discover, themselves, the world around them and all that happens when they interact with it. In the splash pool and jungle gym, our children experience how their bodies move, as they twist, bend, slide, jump and run.
The basketball and tennis courts, and cricket nets are places for the older children to endure, stretch and persevere. Inside the building too, in our labs, art room, dance room, music room, and reading rooms, the quest to touch, feel observe, hear, hypothesise, examine, reject...continues.
