Spaces at NBS

Located on a two acre campus in the midst of Sector-14 in Dwarka, the school is collaboratively designed by our teachers and students as an expression of their ownership and identity, our spaces are a flexible and active means to inspire and catalyze exploration, discovery and learning.

Studio Spaces

Arranged in clusters, our classrooms are better described as learning studios since they allow for a great deal of flexibility and individuation. Well-resourced with challenging puzzles, games and books and a desktop PC, they provide children with multiple options to learn at their own pace and in their unique ways. The use of lightweight modular furniture also supports a variety of learning styles by facilitating group, pair, c-shaped or u-shaped seating arrangements.

Spaces for sharing

The school library houses an impressive collection of books for both children and educators. A large airy space, it is often the setting for many an animated storytelling session. We invite the community to come and read at leisure in our library, to use our audio-visual facilities and to practice their sport on our courts.

Spaces for exploration and discovery

In addition to state-of-the-art facilities for the sciences - physics, chemistry and biology, we also have specialised labs for language and mathematics. Equipped with a wide variety of tools, teaching aids and games, they inspire great interest and enthusiasm for their respective areas of study. Exploration, discovery and imaginative play for the youngest members of our community take place in 'Anubhav' - our elementary resource centre.

Creative Spaces

The school Art or 'Ourt' centre, holds pride of place amongst all our facilities. With creatively designed rooms for dance, music, audio-visual learning, theatre and studio art, it introduces children to the different traditions and styles of art and inspires them to create and produce their own unique art.

Sporting Spaces

Our spaces for physical education and sport are a combination of outdoor courts, the field and the indoor sports centre. In addition to enjoying chess, yoga, gymnastics, basketball, table tennis, cricket and soccer, our children are also learning how to skate!

Wired Spaces

At NBS, technology is a tool but nonetheless one that pervades all our school spaces and facilities. While our state-of-the-art computer lab is equipped with multi-media facilities, each of the classrooms and activity spaces also have individual computers that permit safe access to the internet.

The school is also equipped with a video-conferencing system to conduct online meetings and training sessions with national and international experts.
