Carving Global Citizens – The Sustainable Way

International Conference on Education An international conference on education was held at India Habitat Centre on 10th and 11th of November 2017. The topic of the conference was ‘Carving Global Citizens – The Sustainable Way’. This conference was organised by the International Centre for Advancement of Education and partnered by many universities such as the St. George‘s University, University of Waterloo, University of New Brunswick, Ashoka University , Mac Ewan University , Flame University , Indian Institute of Art and Design and Pearl University. Many renowned and well known educationists and counsellors shared their views over the two days conference. The welcome and the keynote address were given by Mr. Ashok Pandey, Principal Ahlcon International School, this was followed by a Panel Discussion on the challenges of the 21st century education. The key learnings were how to make students global citizens in a world of open avenues and no boundaries. Ms. Usha Albuquerque, the well known career counsellor, also impressed upon the gathering the importance of making students future ready by making them acquire skill sets suitable for jobs of the future. The importance of following a career curriculum for all classes was also emphasized. Presentations were made on the courses offered at various national and international universities.
