The Centre Board for Secondary Education always puts in efforts for the betterment of the student and teachers by organizing training programme. On 30th and 31st August, 2017 CBSE- Centre for Excellence conducted capacity building programme for prospective resource person in inclusion.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Sandeep Kumar Jain and Dr. Pragya Verma from the Inclusive cell CBSE. The aim of the workshop was to train teachers, special educators and counselors for implementation of inclusive strategies in mainstream classroom.
During the workshop, RPD act 2016 and assistive technology for children with special needs was discussed. Thirteen new disabilities have been added to the act and participants were asked to research and prepare a presentation on specific disabilities-their types, characteristics and inclusion in classroom.
All the participants were exposed to all the CBSE-disability specific relaxations. The workshop was very informative and gave us proper understanding about CBSE guidelines for inclusion.
