Dada Dadi Divas

The relationship between a grandchild and grandparent is a very special one. Research suggests that children find unique acceptance in their relationships with grandparents, which benefits them emotionally and mentally. Sometimes they’re playmates for their grandchildren and sometimes  they’re very often role models and mentors for younger generations. They are also historians — teaching values, instilling ethnic heritage, and passing on family traditions.

To introduce the letter ‘d’ in Hindi, Ankurs celebrated ‘dada dadi divas. They invited ‘dada and dadi’ to their classrooms to spend some time with the kids by narrating stories and singing songs and rhymes to the kids. Children enjoyed listening to the stories narrated by their ‘dada and dadi’’.  ‘dada and dadi’ also showed much enthusiasm in telling them interesting stories using related props made by them, necessary voice modulations and facial gestures. Later they took pleasure in reciting their grandchildren’s favourite rhymes and songs.  To conclude, children took all grandparents for a tour of the foyer area to show them the ‘Dussehra Decorations’ done by them.
