The students of class 9 to 12 attended a talk by Mr Nimrod Klyaman, the Director of the UQ (University of Queensland), Idea Hub. Idea Hub is a new venture of the University of Queensland that connects young innovators with mentors, and provides workshops and learning experiences to entrepreneurially-minded students. The workshop focused on the basic entrepreneurship skills for students to start a business venture. Throughout the workshop, he focused on the ways to form and test one’s early stage ideas for potential commercial opportunity. He also talked about how to build networks with other students, idea makers and seasoned entrepreneurs for a strong, well-connected start to your entrepreneurial journey. The workshop proved to be insightful for the students as they gained a lot of information not just about the University but also about entrepreneurship.
