This came true when on August 14th 2015, Meghna Singhi the author of ‘PI Pojo-The Killing Of Mr. Heathcote’, conducted a Book Reading session for children of classes VI and VII in the school auditorium.
A first time author, her energy and enthusiasm was infectious. She quickly developed a rapport with the children and soon the listeners became partners in the process by providing sound effects wherever necessary. Needless to say the children enjoyed the session thoroughly and didn’t want it to end.
On her part the young and vivacious Meghna Singhi encouraged children to ask questions and didn’t tire of answering their unending questions on her journey as a writer, her inspiration and her future ventures etc.
She even gave hand outs on how to become a writer of suspense and mystery stories to children who gave interesting answers to queries posed by her.
Her book was a sell out as children vied with each other to buy autographed copies of ‘PI Pojo’. Seeing their interest and enthusiasm the school plans to organize more of such interactive sessions with writers in future.
