School trips are a welcome break in the routine for both students and teachers. While their purpose is essentially to educate, they are also be a fun bonding experience for everyone involved.
The students of classes III and IV went for a fun filled educational overnight trip to Baghan, a resort near the city Garh situated at the banks of holy river Ganges.
Amidst smiles and excitement we left school early in the morning. The children were enthusiastic and happy to be with their friends. Most of them were even more excited as it was their first school trip ever!
The bus journey to Baghan was full of fun as the children sang songs, played games and munched along the way. Upon arriving at the Resort we received a warm welcome at the beautiful and green Resort. Rooms were allotted and everyone settled into their respective rooms. This was followed by a sumptious lunch.
After the lunch, children were divided into groups to participate in many adventure activities such as zip-liner, Rock climbing, Rappelling Commando net. They also enjoyed creating clay pots with the potter available at the resort .
The first day ended with a hearty dinner which was followed by a fun filled musical evening !!
Next day early morning children visited a nearby village to get firsthand experience into the rural living. After a delicious breakfast, the groups enjoyed doing an art work and a worksheet as a reflection of their experiences.
It was heartwarming to see the children manage their belongings independently, adjust with their peers as they shared spaces and also behaved responsibly, while away from school and home.
It was indeed a memorable experience for them.
