Visit to Agra

The students of classes III and IV went for a  fun filled educational trip to Agra, city steeped in history and grandeur. School trips are an experiential way of providing hands on learning and nurturing life skills in our children.

Amidst smiles, excitement and chatter we left school early in the morning. The children were enthusiastic and happy to be with their friends. Some of them were even more zealous as it was their first school trip ever!

The bus journey to Agra was full of enjoyment and fun as the children sang songs, played games and munched along the way. We received a warm welcome at the luxurious hotel. Rooms were allotted and everyone settled into their respective rooms. This was followed by a sumptuous lunch.

Then came the much awaited visit to the Taj Mahal. The children were over awed by the majesty and aesthetic beauty of one of the most iconic monuments of the world and were amazed to know the history behind it.   Thereafter, we visited another UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Agra Fort. The light and sound show at the Agra Fort left everybody enthralled.

The first day ended with a hearty dinner at the hotel which was followed by some cultural activities and midnight rendezvous!!

After a delicious breakfast, the enthusiastic explorers set off for a visit to Sikandra, the tomb of Akbar the Great and the Agra Fort. The students listened to the guides in rapt attention, understanding the structure and design of Mughal architecture. They were intrigued and impressed with the stories and had many relevant questions to ask.

Before leaving we had some games and sharing of their observations and learnings in the two days. It was indeed a memorable experience for them.
