As part of our Project based learning on Fractions, the students of class V got the opportunity to visit Drool’s Kitchen in Sector 13 Dwarka on 23rd August, 2017. The purpose of the visit was to interact with the chefs working in the kitchen of the restaurant in order to gain a better understanding of the use of fractions while preparing a recipe. The students got a chance to observe the various devices used by such professionals while preparing a dish. Their interaction with the chefs lent them a better understanding of the concept of fraction. It helped them to understand how a recipe for a fixed number of people can be adjusted as per the requirement.
