A workshop on accountancy was organized by the renowned publishing house Sultan Chand & Sons on 29th April, 2016, at India Islamic Cultural Centre, Lodhi Road, Delhi.Mr.S.S.Sehrawat, retired Deputy Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi, initiated the workshop by sharing valuable information on the Design of Question Paper and Marking Scheme.Dr. G.S. Grewal (Fellow member, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi), focused on the latest changes in the Accountancy syllabus and their implications and emphasized that students should utilise the 15 minutes reading time given during board exams to read the questions carefully.Mr. Rakesh Khosla (Ex Faculty Member, Northern India Regional Council, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi ) discussed the topic, ‘Rectification of Errors’ and emphasized on building strong foundation in class XI.There was a gathering of about 400 teachers from different schools across Delhi and NCR.This knowledge sharing meet was concluded with an open house discussion, in which teachers raised their doubts and queries. This was followed by distribution of certificates to the teachers. This workshop, was an enriching experience and gave an opportunity to interact with leading educationists and other teachers.
